Inspired by EUvsVirus, this chapter focuses on the Academia Diffusion Experiment (ADE) with more than 40 scholars and practitioners around the globe, who transform practice into science through co-creating, co-evolving, and co-dreaming. Social Innovation in Spain, China and Russia: Key Aspects of Development
As traditional methods of governance are unable to promptly respond to the conglomerate of issues brought about by system-wide changes and modernity, social innovation is seen as a promising alternative. Its uptake, however, is facilitated and hindered by a variety of factors. Using Spain, China, and Russia as country cases, this article explicates the findings of a systems-based comparative analysis on the drivers and barriers to the development of social innovations as effective tools in addressing social problems. In depth research projects carried out at national or regional levels provides the background knowledge to analyze the scope, size, trajectory, goals and target groups of the initiatives, as well as the geographical, historical and socio-economic frameworks and environments of the social innovations studied.

Factores condicionantes para la inclusión de personas inmigrantes de origen extranjero vulnerable: análisis de las empresas de inserción en Euskadi como instrumento de incorporación al mercado laboral y a la inclusión social
Este trabajo forma parte de un estudio realizado entre 2011 y 2014 sobre el proceso de inclusión de los trabajadores inmigrantes basado en el enfoque de capacidades y articulado: 1. en torno a tres ejes del proceso: factores condicionantes, condiciones habilitantes y funcionamientos o logros; 2. en base a métodos cuantitativos y cualitativos y teniendo en cuenta la voz de los actores del proceso (responsables de entidades promotoras, técnicos e inmigrantes), y 3. centrado en los ámbitos de la vida donde concentran la acción las Empresas de Inserción (personal, económico-laboral y educativo).

Las empresas de inserción vascas y sus entidades promotoras como ejemplo de buenas prácticas en la integración sociolaboral del colectivo de inmigrantes más vulnerable
Esta comunicación pretende poner de relieve las experiencias desarrolladas tanto por las empresas de inserción como por sus entidades promotoras de cara a optimizar la integración sociolaboral de las personas de origen extranjero más desfavorecidas. Si bien es cierto que los inmigrantes internacionales no constituyen un colectivo específico en el abanico de los grupos a los que se dirigen estas organizaciones, no es menos importante señalar que existe un innegable volumen de personas no nacidas en nuestro territorio que se encuentran en situación de vulnerabilidad para las cuales este tipo de dispositivos representan un recurso óptimo de acceso a una mejora de su condición.

Synergies of territorial innovation and digital transformation: How the combination of these two dimensions can provide multiple benefits for territories and European policies?
On 6 March 2024, the Joint Research Centre hosted an exploratory workshop on the synergies of territorial innovation and digital transformation. This workshop aimed to identify research questions and knowledge gaps. This is crucial for supporting EU policies for regional and local transitions, particularly in the context of digital transformation and its contribution to territorial innovation. It brought together digital technology, governance and innovation experts to explore collaborative opportunities.

Guía para la incorporación de la perspectiva de género en la docencia y la investigación
Esta Guía, resultado del trabajo colaborativo en torno a 60 componentes de la comunidad académica y dirigido por María Silvestre Cabrera (responsable de Igualdad de la Universidad de Deusto, IP del Equipo Deusto Valores Sociales y miembro de la Plataforma de Investigación Interdisciplinar de Género), se propone como un instrumento que ayude a docentes y personal investigador a incorporar la perspectiva de género en las actividades académicas y en la vida universitaria.
